Bowling with Alyssa

Today, the Christmas Calendar gift was "Let's go bowling after church with Alyssa!" After some mild confusion about getting Alyssa taken care of after bowling, her mom knew we were going but didn't tell her dad and they were planning to leave for Dallas after church... It all got sorted out!!... we headed to lunch at a local diner! The kids chowed down! Alyssa ordered catfish :) Jonah ate bacon. Only bacon!! And Noah shared pancakes with Jamie! We loaded up the kids and went to bowling world! Sunday special is two games for $5 shoes and all! Jamie didn't want to bowl due to his shoulder- more on that another day... Well we made it through one game!! Alyssa scored 104, Noah scored 81, Jonah scored 100, and I came in dead last with like 70 points!! I am a terrible bowler!! The kids were all ready to leave so we went back to the church!

After church today we went to lunch at Cheddar's with Nana and PaPa and Leslie and Alyssa... Noah, Jonah, Alyssa and I all sat at one table while the adults sat at the table next to us! We had a blast!! Then Alyssa came home with us to play for the afternoon!! They played on the trampoline, watched Power Rangers at Alyssa's request, ate popcorn, Lunchables, and Cuties and we even made a craft!!

these two have been pals for the last few years, since Alyssa's family started attending church with us at Victory Temple. Aunt JJ works at the animal hospital that her parents own and operate. noah loves to play with alyssa, even though they are both a bit bossy and fight quite a bit...she's quite a bit older than him (she is 5, he isn't quite 4 yet)...she starts kindergarten this fall so she'll be a couple of years ahead of him in school. but for now they are just best buds. they spent all day together today - eating lunch at Firehouse, swimming, and then playing on the bounce around and water slides at church... 

 a pretty funny conversation was overheard while driving to lunch...

Mark (alyssa's dad) - "Noah, what was your name before you got married?" (joking)

Noah - "My mommy says I can't get married til I'm big!"

Alyssa - "Noah! You'll probably marry me!"

so in preparation of their future marriage ;) i thought i'd put together a little "through the years"

i found these cute boys at the park by our house... :)

we stopped at the gas station first to get something to drink and noah picked out a Gatorade. he's never had it before, i have no idea why he picked it out

he only drank about 1/4 of the whole bottle...it's still in the fridge

friday night my sister and i surprised the guys with a trip to Sky Vue, our favorite little getaway place! it's such a nice little bed and breakfast!!

we cheated on our diet and had their amazing pizza friday night {and again for lunch on saturday!} and then saturday morning Janice made us an amazing breakfast!

oh my was it good!!

we watched Rio. they thought the birds were pretty and funny, we thought there was a little too much adult humor...good thing they don't understand any of it yet.
